What's Up?

These days are so much fun.  Kaidyn's vocabulary is really taking off and it is so much fun to communicate back and forth with her.  Her are some recent developments at 20 months:
  • Tells us what she wants to eat - this is good and bad mainly because she requests, cheese, cookies, and fish
  • Runs and climbs like crazy
  • Can fasten a buckle
  • Sat on her potty for the first time tonight (fully clothed - we are slowly transitioning into potty training)
  • Throws tantrums when things don't go her way, which results in her arching her back and throwing herself on the ground
  • Still loves being outside and would live outdoors if we would allow her
  • Climbs the slide and goes down by herself
  • Will follow simple directions such as "stop" but does like to test mama and dada
  • Can recite parts of a book (Her favorite is Moo, Baa, La La La by Sandra Boyton & Pat the Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt
  • Identifies some colors - she is getting better (big thanks to Aunt Mimi on this one!)
  • Recognizes places when we are driving - will tell us where to turn to get home, can also scout out Chick-fil-A a mile away!  She starts yelling, "I play, play!"  She also starts recognizing Nana D and Papa's house when we are about 2 miles away and starts saying, "Nana, Papa".
