The Kentucky Derby is next Saturday (for those of your following not living in the Louisville area). There are many festivities leading up to the Derby. Thunder of Louisville (huge firework show) was a week ago. The fireworks were amazing - well the ones that we saw on our drive home. There was a computer glitch and they didn't go off on time. Miss K was getting tired so we decided to leave the party we were at and head home. We caught them out of the rearview mirror.
Another event is the balloon glow, and it was on Friday night. Another late night! Kaidyn was so excited to watch the hot air balloons be blown up and then "glow" in the night. She will tell you that they were going, "Up, up, up!" It was a fun night and definitely will be a tradition of ours. We are going to hit up the steamboat race and parade if the weather is nice. Then the big race is on Saturday!
