Today Kaidyn I got the pleasure (ha ha) of going to the doctor for her 12 month check-up. She is doing great and growing like crazy. Currently she weighs 20 lbs. 13 1/2 ounces and is 28 7/8 inches long. At birth she weighed 7 lbs. 4 ounces and was 20 inches long, so she is definitely thriving! Kaidyn had to get three shots and get her finger pricked to take blood. This for me was the hardest round of shots. Kaidyn screamed like crazy as the nurse kept apologizing for having to give them. She quickly stopped when I offered her a graham cracker (thanks Julia and EG for turning her on to those!). We were given the green light to switch from formula to whole milk so we will begin that transition very soon. I'm a little nervous about giving up the bottles, but I did buy sippy cups that resemble a bottle with a nipple. Kaidyn only likes to drink water from a sippy cup so this could be a challenge! If you have any advice, please leave a comment!

For whole milk, try mixing it half and half at first with formula. EG still wanted her milk a little warm at first, too, but gradually she drank it cold. Now she drinks a lot less volume of milk than she did formula.
Glad she loves graham crackers :) Now that she's one, you can try them with peanut butter - even yummier!
Thanks Julia for the advice. I tried the half and half combo yesterday and she took it! Now, of course it was out of a bottle, but we are taking things one step at a time. I'm so glad EG is older than Kaidyn because you always have the greatest ideas! Love ya :)
