Please Pray for Parker
One of my dear friends from college that I met through AOII has a son, Parker Griswold who will be undergoing a very extensive brain surgery tomorrow at the Cleveland Clinic. I am asking for you to keep little Parker, his parents and sister in your prayers tomorrow. Parker is just six months old and has been diagnosed with craniosynostosis. It is the premature and abnormal fusion of 1 of the 6 suture lines that form the skull. When these structures fuse prematurely it causes excess pressure on the brain as it grows, with no place to expand. This can lead to many developmental problems if is not surgically corrected. This means the surgeons will remove a portion of Parker's skull in order to make more room for his brain to expand. The surgery is scheduled to take most of the day so they will need many, many prayers. Andrea and her husband Joshua will also need many prayers to make it through tomorrow, the recovery and care of Parker ahead. As a parent, I could not imagine having to experience something to this magnitude. They truly are strong people who have put their trust in God. Thank you for your prayers for Parker and the Griswold's!
